The mission of the Child Development Center of the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute is to further the educational development and emotional health of children. This is achieved by using psychodynamic and psychoanalytic principles in our therapeutic school (The Harris School), in professional consultations with educators and parents through our outreach and teacher training (The Outreach/Teacher Consultant Program), in evaluation of children (The CDC Clinic), and in training and research in child development (The Professional Training Programs).
